What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We use cookies to make our site faster and easier to use. Cookies cannot run programs or deliver viruses to your device.

Types of Cookies We Use

GoDaddy Analytics Cookies

These are typically used by GoDaddy to collect aggregated, anonymized statistics about visitor behaviour to improve site performance and functionality.

  • _tccl_visitor: this is A persistent cookie (often lasts 1 year) that tracks unique visitors to the site to analyse behaviour and improve site performance.
  • _tccl_visit: This is A session-based cookie (usually lasts 30 minutes to 1 hour) that collects data about a specific visit to the website.

TrustedSites Cookies

These cookies relate to the TrustedSite certification service, which displays trust badges and verifies website security.

  • trustedsite_visit: This tracks when a visitor has accessed the site to show that it is secure and verified.
  • trustedsite_tm_float_seen: This tracks whether the TrustedSite floating trust badge has been displayed to the user during their session to avoid redundant pop-ups.

Server/Session Cookies

  • _scc_session: This is a Session Cookie used to maintain a user's session state. It is crucial for functionality like navigating through pages, keeping a user logged in, or storing data in a shopping cart. It is temporary and deleted when the browser closes.
  • dps_site_id: This cookie is used for load balancing. It ensures that the visitor's request is directed to the correct server cluster to improve user experience.

Your Choices Regarding Cookies

You can choose to have your computer warn you each time a cookie is being set, or to turn off all cookies. You can set these preferences in your browser settings. However, each browser is different so check your browser’s Help menu to learn how to modify your cookies. If you turn cookies off, you won't have access to many features that improve your experience. Also, some of our services may not function properly.
